Sad to say I've been there and thought about much more than I've wanted to - and it is very scary when you are having thoughts that you don't want.

There are lots of resources available to people who are feeling suicidal. If you think that it might help to talk, you can contact the Samaritans on 0845 790 9090. http://www.samaritans.org.uk/

There is lots of advice and information about suicide at: http://www.supportline.org.uk/problems/suicide.php

There is also lots of information about depression at http://www.supportline.org.uk/problems/depression.php#

Are you seeing your doctor about your depression? He will be the best person to advise you on steps to take, and it may be worth discussing medication and therapy.

If you feel at risk of harming yourself , you can go to Accident & Emergency - they have staff on duty who will be able to help you.

You do not have to cope alone, if you want to talk to some pick up the phone. Best wishes x

Yes I have, many times.

I suggest you visit your GP and find out if you're suffering from clinical depression - the major symptoms being tiredness, loss of interest or pleasure in things that used to provide them and a persistent low mood of two weeks or more. If this sounds like you then a course of anti-depressants could be helpful and some kind of talking therapy will help whether you are suffering from depression or not.

Also I saw this link in a similar question and while it's a little bit condescending in places, it makes some good points: http://www.metanoia.org/suicide/

I hope you find a way to feel better soon, feel free to email me.

I accidently locked myself in our attic while I was sneaking a ciggerette (which was actually part of my closet) when I was a teen, and yes i thought about it. I had decided the only way I was going to get outta there was dead... Too bad the only thing I had around me was a dull piece of glass... I wrote a note on a piece of wallpaper, which ended up biting me in my butt years later. Oh well... Someone eventually came and found me... lol
Since then, no. I have kids nhow and a man who loves me dearly. It'd be waaay to selfish and stupid of me to do so now.

My suggestion to you is, take a step out of the normal. See what life is like outside of what you are normally stuck in. It will really make you think differently. Go to church with a friend who's a different religion. Take a walk in a new park. Get a dog or cat so it shows you you have someone who relys upon you, and you can't go anywhere, which will give you unconditional love, even when you're blue. (mine are my kids.)
Good luck, and take care.

I did when I was younger, now I just want to emigrate to where nobody knows me and everyone here can forget about me.
Just think of your future, what will you do? Do you want children? Marriage? To go to uni? Travel the world with mates? There is so muchy ou'll miss out on if you weren't here. Stick around - things can only get better right?

Oh Sure! It's a battle of supremacy of your esteem and self preservation in your mind. The logic centre is battling the emotional centre of your brain. Your weighing are you needed, wanted, loved and or appreciated verses I am a nobody, perhaps a misfit, drug or booze hound perhaps. No one to love, destitute and or perhaps disabled or elderly facing life's fears alone.

These are for the most part changeable issues if you really want to try to experience more of the joys and or get out and help someone else that has it worse off than you.

Yes, a couple years ago. I got through it by hanging out with friends more and listening to inspiring music. But not all people who are suicidal can "cure themselves". You should talk to a professional.

I have never thought about suicide, I find people that kill themselves absolutely selfish and it's an easy way out.

Yea I think how wasteful it is. But if i got to the point of needing to do it I would probably kill all the people who got me to that point. I mean your going to hell anyway might as well have a good seat............If you know what I am saying
