The best outcome is a revolution away from todays bickering nations, eco-sanction-cowardice & no-good electoral systems.
But if we could get to the ideal without an allout revolution, that would be the most painless. Also, I don't think an attempt at a revolution would succeeed in any G8 country at the moment.

War. War brings innovation. It thins the herd. It breeds aggressiveness, which is then channeled into drive for progress. The arms race sent us to space. Fewer people in the world translates into fewer world problems. Cattle are at peace chewing their cud. Moo.

The sollution would be a revolution of mind. People should stop be easy targets and believe everything they hear. People should regain ideals for their lives and start caring honestly not only for themselves but for the whole society to.

If you had a thug for a neighbor. He shot your dog, slapped your kids, etc. You called the police. They talked to him, reasoned with him, as soon as they left, a rock comes through one of your windows. You either a) reason with him or b) take him out. Which solution would give you peace?

Violence is never a solution.
The world's problems would be much fewer if humans stopped breeding like rabbits. If there were fewer people there would be more resources for the rest to share.

Peace when you can, war when you must. When dealing with Islamofascists, negotiating doesn't work.

Well, first you've got to address the problems with reason and rationality, not superstitious ideology.
