Well you need the following:
1) A shopping cart program (or atleast a buy button)
2) A secure credit-card processing backend (PayPal offers this service for personal and business)
3) A bank account for the payments to be deposited to
Yahoo itself has a small-business solution and you can get more info there. The advantages of using Yahoo or something similar are that you don't have the headache of dealing with the technology and implementation, reputable firms, easily scalable for when it grows, always current technology and customer service to assist you anytime.

I would suggest having you own domain name (website) to sell your products. The website should include a shopping cart for you customers to put the items they plan to purchase into. (Allows you to accept paypl, credit cards, ect.) An e-mail address for you business is also a good idea. Check out http://www.greatvaluewebservice.com They have great prices on domains. Hosting, e-mail, and more comes free with them. They also have e-commerce solutions and shopping carts.
