What is the connection between drug dealers and razors? Do the people buying drugs steal the razors to "pay"

If the drug dealer had all this money rolling in, why would he accept razor blades instead of money ... I know they are expensive and all, but I don't understand it. The drug dealer does not do drugs, so what would he use them for?

I know some stores lock up their razor blades because people steal them a lot.

Has anyone else heard of this?

Can anyone explain it?

I never heard that before either...and I'm an ex-user. I know they use razors to cut lines of coke, but to accept them in the place of money I have no clue.
