My daughter has ecxema and we use oatmeal bath and then apply this thick cream called Aquaphilic on her whole body. It keeps her skin hydrated and soft all day every day :)
You can get it at most discount/grocery stores like Walmart, Walgreens...

Baby oil is not good for the skin. It actually puts a barrier over it that doesn't allow it to breathe. Huggies makes a really good lotion, and if you apply it right after the bath, the baby's skin is still moist so it will enhance the moisturizers in the baby lotion. Another great lotion is from Arbonne - the ABC line. Hope this helps and happy bathing!

To keep skin healthier, a baby should not be bathed everyday. Bathing dries out the skin and removes the natural oils that keep it soft and healthy.

Any dye, perfume free lotion that does not irritate their skin. Cetaphil or Eucerin works really well. The best way to keep the skin soft is to apply directly after bath when skin is still damp.

I've had seven babies and have never bothered with any of that stuff. Skin is skin; what could be naturally more soft, healthy, fresh and glowing than BABY SKIN? Save yourself some time and money and leave your baby's skin alone.

If you use a good, gentle, baby wash, you shouldn't need a lot of lotion. If your climate and/or house is low in humidity you could use baby lotion, but a clean baby's skin is usually soft, healthy, fresh, and glowing all by itself!

Nothing. I don't even use soap on my son, just plain water. The body makes natural oils to keep skin soft and as long as hes getting plenty of water, he should be fine.

I use Aveeno on my sons after each bath I have also use huggies too. I don't think it matters what lotion you us as long as you do it daily to keep the skin nice. And don't forget about the face too.

After the bath you could apply some baby lotion, especially on his bottom. They have such pretty skin.
