Why are you one of those ridiculous people that think that suing is the answer to everything! Did you ever think it was you that had the problem and destroyed the marriage? Take some responsibility- stop being so sue happy and ruining the outcome of real cases for the rest of us. We should sue you for being so stupid.

You can sue for the alianation of affection, as others have posted on here, i wanted do that. My hubby had an affair and i went as far as contacting an attorney. Some states recognize that law, while most do no. The only way to win that case, is if you can prove you lost money or assets to the other person. I had no case, cuz while he was having an affair, all of my needs were met. Its a hard case to prove and win, and if you loose, your out atty fees and court costs. Its just best to let it go.

No. If we are talking about infidelity, it takes TWO TO TANGO, so the other person (the married one) ain't no victim.

It takes consent to cheat on both parties... so NO, you cannot sue for people having no morals. Alienation of affection is grounds for divorce, and not a criminal or civil matter, You cannot sue the "mistress" for alienation of affection because she gave you no affection, but you can claim alienation of affection from your husband.

So, if you want to get even with the other man/woman...nah, you have no legal ground. Good luck

Good luck

Yes. Legally, you can sue any body for anything? But yo have to decide what you are going to sue for. Mental Anguish, Money, etc.

Often times there is no real remedy, and it takes-up too much of the court's time.

Good Luck

That's insane! The only people responsible for the marriage are the two people who are married. Talk about lack of personal responsiblity going way out of proportion!

In some states you can sue for "alienation of affection" and/or "criminal conversation". You may want to check and see if your state still has these in the books.

This sounds like defamation of character which can be taken to court for personal injury. Something to look into. I would suggest to gather proof and contact a personal injury lawyer.

it does hurt, and our first inclination is make the person who took our spouse away pay. we want them to suffer just like we are having to do. but in reality most states do not have the alienation's of affections law anymore. and u just keep yourself in the pain when u do this, it won't allow u to move on like u should, just keeps u tied to the people who hurt u. keeps u bitter. the best revenge is to move on and live well, and go out keeping your dignity. the person will one day get what is coming to them, let god handle the punishment that person gets. just get out of this as clean as u can, don't waste your life on them. as long as u focus on revenge u won't be able to get out of the pain and hurt. i completely understand that someone destroyed your life, but they will get theirs one day. just focus on your future, as u are going to need a clear mind to move forward here, why keep your mind all torn up, and if u spent alot of money on this and did not win, u would just feel like a fool.
