I have known a girl for about 5 months now and recently the more time I spend with her the more I realize I am falling for her; she is everything I have always wanted in a girl. We hang out on a regular basis and she too believes we are similar people, with similar interests and we got along on every level. Here in lies the problem; she is my friend, my close friend and for the first time in my life I honestly don’t know how to react. I would rather not ruin our friendship by thinking about her this way, but I can’t help it. On Valentine’s Day I went on a date with another girl, which was going really well, until the night ended, we kissed, and during the kiss I mumbled the wrong name, I said my friend’s name twice. Since then I can’t get my friend off of my mind. I want to tell her that I like her and but I don’t know how. If she does not feel the same way, then I am fine with it, but at least I know where we stand. .Any advice would help.

Since you've been friends for about half a year, you've probably gotten to know each other right? If you didn't, then here's your chance to tell her that you like her and if her reaction is no, then it's okay because that's the worst that can happen... Don't overreact... This girl is obviously special to you, and you still want to be friends with her right? Well, if she says no, then you can still be friends... Especially if you ask her out and she says no and then you say I didn't really mean that, and then you'll be cool, or she'll think you're a jerk... It has a lot to do with your tone... Also, if she has a boyfriend, then you don't want him to beat you up... If she's a true friend, then she'll still be friends with you after you ask her out. If she says no, then it's her loss... You can always ask someone else out... There's a WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE in this world... Tell her that you've been feeling a certain way about her, and if she asks, How do you feel?, then reply in a cute and romantic way, I really like you... Is there any way I can convince you to go out with me? Girls like guys who are caring and generous... You don't wanna seem too easy, because another girl might get to you first, and you don't want to be with your friend anymore, but if you LoVe her, then you would make sure she doesn't get hurt... Show her you care, and show her the best that you can be...

It would be nice if you tell her rather than torture yourself for keeping the secret...Don't worry, it will not ruin your friendship. If she likes you, then bingo! And if she does not, she'd would probably tell you politely that it would be better to just remain as friends with her. But since she is a close friend of yours, there's got to be a reason to that ;) Good luck! ^_^

P.S. If you dont want to tell her straightforwardly, you could ask her questions that would somehow give you an idea of what she thinks about you.

do me a favor ask her. i had to do the same thing and im agirl. talk to her for a while and then be like i have to tell you something its been laying on my heart. and then tell her you like her. and then see how she feels about you if she starts laughing or doesnt speak to you than you know she wasnt a true friend to begin with. once you tell her all your stress about her will roll off your back.
i wish you the best.

Plsss do tell her she may secretly like you and is desperately waiting for you to make the 1st move.. You really seem to care about this girl and I think it would be fair enough on you simply to ask her!!!
