Gotta go with Kevin Durant, putting up huge numbers. And his team is surpassing any expectations this year. 30 and 12 are sick numbers. He leads the Longhorns in ppg, rpg, steals, and blocks. I'd say Law is second for what i've seen. Oden hasnt had a dominating year. He'll be a high draft pick, but doesn't rate as far as Player of the year. I dont even think he's in the running for that.Oh and future, Durant is going to the draft next year too

I say Kevin Durant.

But Kevin Kruegar at UNLV should get some recognition in this category. He has taken a program that has been horrible and in his only year playing their has it with a top 15 RPI (top 10 most of the year), there first trip into the top 25 in years and now a top 5 seed in the NCAA tourney!

That may not be player of the year...but it is MVP type creditentials!!

You're right about Durant and the Longhorns but I think he still has a shot at the award. My other choices would be Greg Oden, Arron Afflalo, Acie Law and Alando Tucker

ODEN is the most overratted player in the NCAA, Durent Texas is going to turn the tables in the big 12 mark my word. Acie Law is a great basketball player. Oden is going to the draft after this year so I really dislike all the media on him

I like Jokiam Noah from Florida or Affalo from UCLA, these teams are going to be 1st seeds at the tourney and both these teams won their conferences, Durant is good, so is Oden, but you might just see Noah or Affalo at the end.

did you know who has the most 30 point games behind kevin durant?

chris lofton from tennessee. before durant started going off and lofton got hurt, chris was going to win it. now he has fallen behind because of his injury and durant is a favorite to win it. lofton has more 30 point games than the rest of the contenders combined! (aside from durant)

i think it will be between acie law and durant (wouldnt surprise me if law got big 12 player of the year, and durant got national)
