If they could just tie Saddam or Osama to climate change, they might actually support some positive legislation.

I think there are a couple of reasons:

First of all, it would show that the USA lost a war and they would lose prestige throughout the world. How can a country be the only super power and lose a war??

Secondly, the whole middle east would end up in a mess. The Sunnis and the Shiites would be in a civil war (are right now in Iraq) with Iran,Syria and Saudi Arabia involved. What a mess that would be.

There also could be a third reason. There may finally be an impeachment process of the Bush administration for illegal wire tapping, torture of political prisoners, etc.

Neglect-----New Orleans, Middle Class, Global Warming, Energy Policy, This list is endless....The only thing Mr. Bush has not "NEGLECTED" is the Tax cuts for the Rich, in time of War........
