You can't *change* it. However, you can register another one and point it to the same website.

Unfortunately you will have to purchase a new domain name. I've never heard of any hosting provider that registers domain names or domain registers allowing you to change the domain name once it has been purchased.

A domain name once registered is yours. Some domain registrars provide some facilities but then it will depend on which domain registrar you are using for your domains.
In most cases this domain registration fees are not refundable and domain name once registered cannot be changed.

Ditto "scott" (above). Domain *names* are pretty cheap. You could buy a new name and point it to the same host, and point the old name (via dns settings) to a different file on the same host, say, a file that says something about "the domain name has changed, please click here..."

I didn't see anything about changing a domain name, but if you go to this site, they should be able to help.

A domain name is rented on a yearly basis. Unless you have rent it for more than a year, you just let it expire after one year.
However in the meantime, you can register petproducts.com and then have it redirect to dogproducts.com or vice versa.

No. You will have to buy a new name. The old name will still be registered to you although you could sell it.
