If you got your refund in 3 days it is because you got a rapid refund through your preparer.
The IRS does not issue refunds within 3 days of a taxpayer filing their return.

If you file a complete and accurate tax return and you are due a refund, your refund will be issued within six weeks from the date we receive your return. If you filed electronically, refund checks will be issued within three weeks after the acknowledgment date. Refunds from amended returns will be issued within 8–12 weeks. Injured spouse claims can take longer, depending on the circumstances.

I work for a tax software company and know this process fairly well. If you only efile as long as there is no problems found at the irs, You can get the refund fairly quick if you wait til the end of tax season its not as busy. They tell you a week incase there is a problem that your not expecting it and it dont show up.
