No eye contact.
Generally, if someone is lying they will not look you in the eye, at least during a certain part of the conversation. Normally, people make eye contact for at least half of a conversation, so anything less than this could be suspicious. There are some people who will take great pains to make eye contact with you even if they're lying, simply to make you think they're not, so even too much eye contact can be a sign.....
Change in voice.
A change in the pitch of a person's tone, or a lot of stammering (umm, ah), or throat clearing could indicate a lie.
Unusual body language.
If a person taps their foot a lot, fidgets with their hands, raises their shoulders, turns away from you or brings their hand to their face (to touch their chin or nose, etc.) -- in other words, if they act nervous or uncomfortable -- it could mean they're telling a lie. Also watch out for blushing (or becoming pale) and increased blinking. Generally they're not likely to touch his chest/heart with an open hand when lying...... A liar is uncomfortable facing his questioner/accuser and may turn his head or body away.
A liar might unconsciously place objects (book, coffee cup, etc.) between themselves and you.
The guilty person may speak more than natural, adding unnecessary details to convince you... they are not comfortable with silence or pauses in the conversation.
Generally we tend to look to the left for memories [truth] but to the right [make believe] for our imagination.......
Something sounds fishy.
They may make statements that contradict each other, are inconsistent or don't sound quite right are usually part of a lie.
Overly defensive.
Sometime's when a person's lying they'll become extremely defensive, refusing to answer any questions and even accusing you of lying. This may mean they have something to hide.
Changes subject easily.
If someone's lying and you change the subject, chances are high that they'll go right along with it. A person telling the truth, however, will likely ask why you changed the subject and want to go back to it.
Humor or sarcasm.
A guilty person will often try to change the subject using humor or sarcasm.
Of course, no one behavior can tell for sure whether or not someone's telling the truth or lying. While you should trust your instinct, if you're not sure it's best to try to get some evidence to back up your accusation. Rather than relying on a specific behavior, catching a liar in the act is best done by watching their normal behaviors. When those behaviors suddenly change, that's when a lie has likely been told.

Body language when a person's lying includes (but not always!) shifting of feet, touching of mouth, or back of neck, over emphasis of staring into the accusers eyes, or the opposite. Rapid blinking and darting eyes, but often difficult to detect, sweating and redness of the neck and throat. Placing arms and hands behind their neck and stretching. A change in the tone or pitch of the voice, as the mouth and throat dries up. Licking of lips, and swallowing.
Pushing the arms and hands out towards the accuser, is in a way, a physical rebuttal, as would be the wagging finger.

To the left but it depends how good a liar they are
In general people who are lying do any of these things:
-Eyes dart around,
-They won't look you directly in the eye, pupils dilate
-Increased blinking
-Touch/rub themself
-Lowering of the head
-Turns their body away from you
-Dry mouth
-Shallow breathing
-Starts playing with something their holding i.e. a drink
-Crinkling of the nose
-Touching of the face
-tightening of the lips or chinching of the jaw
Individually these signals are not definate indicators. They have to be unusual occurances i.e. a nervous person who is always looking away isnt a liar. They have to be out of the ordinary. And in most cases two or more of the indicators being shown is necessary

Body language!!! Every person has a twitch or something when they are lying. For example when a good friend of mine is lying he can maintain eye contact until the statement that he is lying about the he looks away from me,. Just study the person and you learn when they are lying

Lack of direct eye contact is one. However, you should watch their eyes. Unless they are a pathological liar, then they can look at you in the face and lie. Some people's eyes will dart back and forth because they are thinking of what else to say while they are talking.
usual signs are raised blood pressure, sweating, etc. depends on the liar

usually if someone is lying they ind it very hard to look you in the eye. they are also quite likely to fidget a lot, play with their hands or touch their face to try and distract from the lie.
some people will get flushed and maybe stutter a little.
the most common sign is being unable to look someone in the eye.

The can't look you straight in the face. The make eye contact but can't hold it. They fidgid with their fingers. The turn red in the face. The can't seem to sit or stand still. They studdard and repeat themselves. To give themselves confidence they cross their arms in front of them or put their hands in their pockets. They look down at the floor.

i usually look into their eyes. If they cant look you in the eyes they are lying. If they look you in the eyes too much then they are lying. They are telling the truth if they dont look at you differently than they would if you were talking about what color the sky was.
