To get rid of Bush and his fellow criminals. To take the wealth that is being hoarded up by a tiny minority of privellaged aristocratic Americans and redistribute it round all the people. All profits made from business should then go into building schools, hosptals and infrastructure for the people instead of lining the pockets of greedy capitalists. Its time for the United States of America to become the Socialist States of America

Yes they should. There were plenty of people who sited the failure of the Greeks as reasons democracy couldn't work. Just because a third rate power like Russia couldn't pull it off doesn't mean we should quit trying.

The US will never be a socialist country. It's just not in us. If people are going to whine about every single cent they lose through taxes and refuse to sacrifice part of their paycheck to feed, house and medicate their downtrodden fellow man than socialism... not gonna happen. I can see us taking on a few traits of socialism in the coming years but not enough to even begin to qualify as a socialist country.

i dont think socialism is the best approach, and hopefully the next presidental election, we will see more worker friendly democrats in the white house. Hopefully people in major states, such as Florida (where i live), will open their eyes, and see hope ****** up our government really is. but there will always be a seperater between the filthy rich, and the rest of corporate business, and workers. Socialism has been tried, and failed miserably. People won't do anything, they'll just wait for their free handout from the government.

No. A perfect model for that would be the former Soviet Union. Once business profits are seized and the investors pull their money out of the market the country would be seeking assistance from Ivory Coast and Guyana to pay our bills.

No corporate profits means no jobs. No jobs means no taxes. No taxes means the government is bankrupt.

Your suggestion was implemented in the old USSR and eastern Europe. The results were poverty for the working class. Redistribution of wealth always ends this way, when taken to extremes. In the US we already tax the wealthy to provide for schools and infrastructure, health care for the poor, housing and food stamps, education at a post secondary level, and large paychecks for government workers at the expense of our liberties. After watching every attempt at your suggestion fail and cause untold misery, starvation , and death, I would think you would reject the failed policies of the 20th century and work for a more prosperous 21st century.

Who decides what is TOO rich.
Who decides who will get what medical care (there will never be enough of the BEST for everyone.. it will have to be distributed)
Who decides how many hospitals.
How many roads
How many cars for each person

What you fail to realize, as most socialists do, is that your policy will make running a business a waste of time, there will be no entrepreneurs, and we will all be sitting on our *** waiting for our handouts from a government with no more business revenue to handout.
