if i buy games(2) from the net will it work on my playstation 2. from the states.i live in south africa. are there diffirent zone like dvds

american regioned video games will not work on your south african regioned PS2. You'll have to buy games that are regioned or south africa..
kinda sucks dont it?

Games never list zones on them but it is likely they are zoned. They are still just CDs or DVDs.

Yes. You should find out if your DVDs are NTSC or PAL. Im pretty sure you can set it on your PS2 but if your PS2 is only PAL then you would not be able to play and NSTC (which the U.S. uses) on it.
