But i am afraid even with a spotter. How bad can the injuries be and can i do a backflip with a spotter the first time i try it?

First make sure you know how to do a backhandspring. Then I reccomend a soft suface or a trampoline. Its easiest to learn your backtuck on the tramp first. i know your probably scared loke i was just do backhandsprings a little higher without jumping. Once you get use to that jump higher and higher utill you have a back flip. Keep practicing that untill its perfect. then get a coach or a gymnast that can spot to spot you. if you dont think they can spot you thentest them by asking them to spot you on a backhandspring. If they sptted you good then just do what you did on the trampoline, but with a spot. Jump higher a higher. remember you can always go back to the trampoline to practice.

P.S. its easyer to do a roundoff backhandspring back tuck. Keep Practicing!!!!!!!!!!

Dont be afraid, especially with a spotter. I was afraid the first time i did it but its so easy. Just get a spotter and kinda jump back at an angle and make sure u get your hands on the ground before your head
