If he is head over heels in love with her.....NONE! I told my parent's about my honey and how I wanted to marry her. They didn't approve of me getting married(thought I was too young!) So we sneaked off to one of those little wedding chapels and did the deed. They were mad but got over it and we are still married 17 years later.

Parent's can influence to the very top level (if this is what you are asking).
Parents are the one's who mold his thinking. No matter how rebellious he was when he was younger, he will tend to levitate towards the woman that meets the criteria his parents set out in the beginning. A woman who looks like a good match based on his parents likings, is most likely the woman he will choose. On the other hand, some guys go for the exact opposite. But end up with someone like their mother!!!

Do you mean a man's parents? They have a lot of influence, but he makes the end decision himself....hopefully from the heart.

I think the mother has great influence over her son.......she may be reserved and not say much....believe me the man knows what mom wants.......if I were you, I would make friends with the mother.

this depends from the country a man is from, some cultures arrange marriages according to wealth or status, and sometimes love is not even a factor.. a woman should be allowed to marry the one she loves.. where are you from, (miss Jordan)
