A little History: I have had some issues with dizziness before i became pregnant. I went to the doctor, thinking I might have an inner ear infection or diabetes (it runs in my family) my blood sugar was fine and no inner ear infection... ? basically, it's an unsolved case. I personally think its low bp because its always lower.. I would usually get this in spurts.. I would be dizzy constantly for a few weeks then I Would be fine for a couple months...
NOW that i am pregnant, I am almost 15 weeks now, I am SEVERELY dizzy. I will be sitting in my chair at work and feel like I am SPINNING not just light headed... I lose my balance when I walk have almost fallen when I was standing..
Yesterday, at work I went to the bathroom and in between my standing and sitting, i fell sideways onto the floor. I didn't faint, It just scared the crap out of my that I was on the floor!
Has anything this drastic happened to anyone? should I tell my doctor? I didn't get hurt.. I landed on my hand.

this "dizziness" has been going on since I was little. When I stand up too fast sometimes my eyesight "goes black" and I get real dizzy. my mom took me to the doc when I was younger but they couldn't find anything wrong with me. I just figured it is something I must deal with?

I would see you doctor asap. Has anyone tested you for a brain tumor or annurism---these can cause dizzy spells and falling or passing out.

I black out when I stand up just like youre talking about, or when I was nervous or had anxiety about something. I did get a bit dizzier when I was pregnant.

You probably have a vasal vegal reaction, both me and my mom have it.. andmy grandmother to a lesser degree. It causes your already low BP to drop at times when it shouldnt. Its not a serious medical condition, just one of the quirks that makes us who we are.

For me, it got better when I started exercising regularly and taking a good multi vitamin. When I was pregnant, it went away after the 1st trimester, just about the same time my morning sickness went away.

Personally I believe my upset stomach made it worse. I have a tendancy to clench my diaphram, making isso much harder for my BP to regulate and everything, with the upset stomach I was doing that sooo much more.

Dont know if thats anything like your condition. But i do know what its like to pass out, or faint, or have a panic attack and think you're dying of heart failure, and to have all your doctors look at you like you're insane.

I wouldnt stress it. I was always able to catch myself, just like you have been able to. I never fell on my belly, usually i could just sink to my knees.

Yes, just go see your doctor, he/she will check things out to make sure baby is ok. Make sure you OBGYN knows about these dizzy spells.
