It seems like so many people think that if a woman gets pregnant and the father is out of the picture, her only choices are to abort or be a single parent. Life or death. Why don't people even consider adoption? Why doesn't it come to mind?

Note: I am strongly pro-choice, as long as the choices are presented equally.

That is a VERY good question. Something else I see a lot in my line of work are couples that don't want to have children are able to have as many as they want, and couples that want children more than anything in the world are unable to. It seems unfair doesn't it?

The reason women see only two choices is because on two choices are presented to her. Now I'm not talking about someone sitting down with her and telling her: "Okay you can either abort the baby, or have it and become a single parent." It's not that at all. It's simply because adoption isn't advertised. We see abortion and single parenthood all over television, the radio, movies, everywhere. But very rarely do we see adoption as a viable solution.

Note: I am strongly anti-abortion and have been since I found out about it at age 12.

It's the same question I ask why girls don't drop a baby off to a church instead of having it a bathroom then throwing it away. You'll be suprise the number of teenage girls throw babies in dumbsters.
