Lysol, then vinegar. Sprinkling baking soda won't hurt either.

Was this raw wood. If so, and you plan on painting it, clean it with vinegar and then paint with Kilz before putting on the top coat.

If it is painted, wipe down with vinegar and you may need to sand down and repaint the spot

You asked about household products but the best product out there for getting rid of urine smell and stains is Natures Miracle. You can buy it in the pet store.

i have used this product for my home, it is called OUT. I got it at Wal-mart in the pet section it kills pet enzymes.
