Sooner or later, either in the near or distant future, a country from a continent other than Europe or S. America will win a world cup. Already Mexico, USA, S. Korea, Senegal and Camaroon have advanced at least to the quarter final round. WIll Asia, N. America, or Africa be the first continent to produce a world cup winner?

Africa is the only continent which is close at the moment, and I expect if a country outside Europe or South America ever does win it, it'll be an African nation.
Although, that said, perhaps Australia might unearth a golden generation soon - they seem to win everything else they enter, why not football too?

With the proper infrastructure, Africa is poised to excel and most likely to contend. Just look at all the players that make it to the EPL, France's Championat, or Spain's La Liga
Cameroon and Nigeria have come close already and been to the last rounds of World Cup competition

Africa in 2010 can come far as they are hosting the tournament.
I think Nigeria and Cammeroon(1 of them may reach the semis and then who knows maybe the final 2)

i believe it will be Africa, or Australia to win
Ghana, Senegal, Ivory coast show lots of promise for the future
while the Soceroos would have made it to the next round if it wasnt for the Cheating Italians

North America - Mexico and the USA are both very strong and the US is only getting stronger as it becomes more hispanic and realises that there's money to be made in the world's biggest sport.
