Do they ? hm mm.............lets think about it
Remember,
the last time ur best friend gave u a rose,
an old lady blessed u for helping her carry her bag,
a lil child smiled at you for helping him cross the road,
when u found money in ur old jeans,
when u were giggling naughtily with ur friends,
when u were lying in the bed listening to the rain outside,
when ur mother said ur tea is better than hers, even though u know it was the worst tea ever made.........
when u & ur classmates hugged each-other after the exams results........hmmmm....
Did all these ever make a difference for u
I am sure they did & a big one :)

I think they can....or at least a big difference to those in our life.

This is a cool poem abt those small things that I always liked:

"One SONG can spark a moment

One TREE can start a forest

One SMILE begins a friendship

One HANDCLASP lifts a soul

One STAR can guide a ship at sea

One SUNBEAM lights a room

One CANDLE wipes out darkness

One LAUGH will conquer gloom

One STEP must start each journey

One HOPE will raise our spirits

One TOUCH can show you care

One VOICE can speak with wisdom

One HEART can know what is true

One LIFE can make a difference"
