Interesting question, as this spans generations...

1. Andre the Giant
2. Hulk Hogan
3. Ric Flair
4. HHH
5. Undertaker

There can be no "flash in the pan" answers here. I mean anyone that answers John Cena is a fool. He's good, don't get me wrong, but he simple doesn't have the longevity to make this list. If it were ten years from now, maybe.

Andre was wrestling for about 10 straight years before "Hulkamania". Hogan took the wrestling world to new heights, Flair held his ground in the NWA and became a legend through hard work and loyalty, and the Undertaker and HHH have been consistant top card draws for over 15 years....

assuming you are asking for favorite wrestlers, not best technical wrestlers...even then, I can't fit them into just 5.

1. Hulk Hogan. C'mon. Without Hogan, there would be no nationally televised pro wrestling. Was he the best technical wrestler? Not even close. But, Hulk Hogan put pro wrestling on the map.

2. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. WOOOOOOOoooooo! look. Nobody can compare with Naitch for longevity in the spotlight. From the days when the NWA was on WTBS to now, Naitch has been a staple of pro wrestling.

3. "The Macho Man" Randy Savage. OOOOOOH YEAH! For any who dispute his selection...refer to Wrestlemania III, against Ricky Steamboat. nuff said.

4. Chris Benoit. even when he was Heavyweight champ, he was STILL the most underrated wrestler ever.

5. Shawn Michaels. Name a wrestler that consistently puts his body on the line as the Heartbreak kid. HBK LOVES the business, and is usually the best performer in every match he is in. He isn't the biggest wrestler, but nobody gives more effort.

6a. Triple H. For as much crap as he gets for backstage politics, he puts on a hell of a good show. When Triple H is wrestling, I know I am going to be entertained.

6b. Undertaker. This was a toss up for me with HHH, so, they are essentially tied in my book. The Deadman will go down as one of the all time greatest. Who would have thought that a character about a gravedigger would have been so damn successful?

7. Stone Cold Steve Austin. He was a fantastic technical wrestler who completely changed his style to brawler to create one of the greatest gimmicks ever...

8. Andre the Giant. I struggled with this one. I could have put him at either 1 or 2, but, he was more of a side attraction than a full time wrestler, so I had to bump him down.

9. Kerry Von Erich. Anyone under the age of 30 probably isn't gonna know who the Texas Tornado is...but, ESPN used to show World Class Championship Wrestling, which the Von Erich family ruled.

10. Nikita Koloff. For some reason, the Russian Nightmare counter to the American Dream Dusty Rhodes captured my imagination. Think someone who looks like Bill Goldberg, wears the Tazz style wrestling gear, and can wrestle like Kurt Angle.

Speaking of which, if I wasn't still mad at Kurt Angle for jumping to TNA, he would probably be #3 on my list.
