Senators John McCain and Teddy Kennedy are trying to push through a bill that would allow amnesty for up to 20 million illegal immigrants currently in the USA, as well as allowing their extended families to come in as well as US citizens without having to reenter the normal path to citizenship, with only a small fine.
It would also allow illegals to recieve Social Security benefits after only 10 months in the country (past residence, although illegal, would count toward the 10 months). Since it takes over 10 years for American citizens to gain said benefits, do you agree with this Bill? Would you vote for McCain as President?

On the surface, not at all, these people are illegal and that says it all. If they can come in the country illegally and get benefits, I should be able to rob banks, Illegally and have it made legal down the road.

The bill is a joke. Illegal aliens from Mexico and South America do not come here with $2000 to pay. Nor can they speak English. Nor do they want to learn to speak English.

The bill, therefore, is an empty piece of rhetoric. These illegal aliens will continue to stay here and work, and send their money back to their mamacitas and bambinos in Mexico.

No, I would not vote for McCain for President.

There are already paths to citizenship precise in our immigration guidelines. those that are right here with out following our immigration guidelines might want to no longer anticipate any preferential treatment. The "paths to citizenship" and "amnesty" proposals that were raised contained in the previous gave no longer something yet lip provider to the guideline of regulation. we've performed this once, and the priority did not advance. those will be unlawful immigrants stated that those who had come earlier profitted with the help of their moves and wanting to emulate them. What would I do? a million) provide all persons contained in the rustic illegally 3 months to record for truly preferential treatment. truly, placed them on a itemizing to change into criminal at a particular volume in line with year. till then, they both might want to leave the rustic, or pay a significant tax to stay right here in line with annum till they qualify (via coming to the accurate of the record) 2) once the era is over, all of us got here across contained in the U. S. illegally should be expelled. (BTW, we make certain to fix border protection to save them from coming accurate decrease back... both that, or we will might want to reinstate the scarlet letter or something like it. i imagine I desire the former to the latter). 3) And... implement workplace sanctions antagonistic to hiring those right here illegally. and word #2 about any violating workers. those are my off-the-cuff solutions. i'm certain sensible people can arise with better ones than "merely have em pay a pair of thousand funds and enable them stay."

Not one bit. Amnesty is a huge mistake we need to follow the laws that are already written and have been for awhile. I think we are paying enough of our money on illegal immigrants already. Don't you?
