I would like to get away for the spring break to a place of solace; somewhere that is fairly priced, could be like a resort. And it must be in the U.S.

Usually, the kids tend towards the beaches on spring break, so I would try the mountains instead, maybe a houseboat on some placid lake near a mountain! This site has lots of great and affordable rentals offered by the owners, so it tends to be cheaper.

I don't know where you live, but I know from experience the areas around Asheville and Hendersonville NC are very peaceful, and if you get sick of all that peace, Asheville is pretty cool.

One of my favorite Islands in the southeast is Tybee Island GA, a friend of mine rents a teeny house and it's AWESOME. They still have sand dunes!

Or, here is an awesome looking place in NM.

I've been thinking about this particular rental for myself, for a while now. Maybe you'll actually get to experience it.

Oh, and I almost forgot, I can't think of a better place than the pacific northwest. I had the best time in Portland last year, and we went out to some very peaceful areas on the coast. It was like a misty cool-blue heaven. The food was AMAZING, (freshest seafood, artisan breads, cheese, wine) the people were very laid back. I'd never been in such a BIG feeling place, I felt like we were at the end of the earth... right before the sea-monster gets you. Course, you mustn't mind a little drizzle.
I took these pictures, just to prove it, near Newport. :)

Vermont, if your into the whole trees and mountains thing. I live there and all it is, is quiet. NIce place to visit, to stay in a hotel, or cabin on the mountain for a good price. Hardly any crime too, not many ppl would think to come here. but not a great place to live (after the first 14 yr.s it gets pretty boring)
