Certainly outside! Wind blown and smelling of fresh air. I love it in the summer to have line dried clothes smelling of all the flowers in the garden. :)

There is something so very homely about the washing hanging outside blowing around in the breeze and smelling so fresh when its dry. Now here is the history bit..... Many years ago in a little village called Glasgow, the women used to take the washing in prams to the local " steamie", then to Glasgow Green ( a huge common green area), where they would all hang the washing on great long washing lines to dry, sure it was also a chance for a good blether and gossip. Seen some old photos of this (I wasn't there, much too young !) quite a sight, hundreds of shirts and sheets all blowing around ! So yes, outside is best.

Outside is much more energy efficient. except when its -5 degrees C, which doesn't stop my neighbour hanging stuff out. I do like the way towels go soft and fluffy in the dryer, an effect only replicated when they are superglued to the washing line in a force 9 gale.

well you can´t beat the out door freshness for your clothes. Oh dear sound like a TV advert, but the best thing I find is your whites are more white after being outside , and that´s because the sun bleaches your clothes the natural way.I do like the dryer for the bath towels they always come out that extra bit softer. I try not to use the dryer, YES out door´s for me

Always in the dryer! It's so humid in Texas it takes them too long to get dry. Besides, the dryer sheets smell SO good, and my electric bill is going to be high anyway, because I have to run the air conditioner year-round!

A dryer is a quicker way, but your electric bills will be quite exspensive, and it comes in handy if its raining.
But i prefer the outside method your washing smells fresher and its better for the enviroment i suppose!!!

Otside for sure. Not only does it cut cost and is environmentally healthy, but I find that after using a dryer the clothes have more hard creases in them especially jeans, that take what seems like forever to iron out.

Outside is cheaper and easier on delicate fabrics, but the dryer makes sure that there are no little 'accidents' from the local wildlife and no rain to make it wet again.
