iWeb and RapidWeaver are for macs that bypass html codes and so forth, so anyone can make a site.

iWeb is apple's new creation. Anyways, apple has it setup to go thru .mac which is $100 a year. You can still use iWeb but you have to use a FTP client. How does that work? and What are some good, possibly free, web host our there?

No idea which is better, but I can tell you the easiest way to create a site that requires a username/password.

Whoever is hosting your web site, ask them if they support 'password protected directories.' If so, just create a directory, login to your web control panel and then place a password on the directory you awnt to hide from the public. Then anything inside that directory will require a password.

If you need any further help or just need some help with html, please feel free to pm. I don't mind helping.
