You would have thought so, but I just read that he had switched with another driver only an hour before the accident. He'd only been driving an hour.

Anything is possible, however I wouldn't trade places with that bus driver for anything. People don't realize what a huge responsibility it is to drive a bus, let alone be responsible for other peoples' children. I'm sure the accident was due to the driver not paying attention. I can only pray for the families who lost loved ones. Thank you and may GOD bless.

Something definitely had to go terribly wrong. I live close to Huntsville, AL and three days before Thanksgiving a school bus loaded with 31 teenagers went off an overpass and crashed nose first into the ground below. Three teens died and many more stayed hospitalized for weeks. In this incident a car bumped them on the left side forcing them to careen into the concrete guard on the right side. A huge chunk of the concrete went over with the bus.
Strange thing is, the bus driver was found on the overpass above. The impact threw him out of the double doors an instant before it went over.

it fairly is the parent's fault for not insuring their baby is getting sufficient relax. it fairly is not the bus driving force's duty to wake the youngster up at their stop, purely that there are not any toddlers left on the tip of the run. If there is, the mothers and dads could tension in and declare their urchin.

I don't think he fell asleep, but I do think he made some kind of human error. No matter what the reason it's a very sad day for the parents of these children.

YES! Unless he was on drugs. OR he might have been too tired to concentrate. I mean, any normal human being bus driver or not should be able to see a concrete wall right in front of you. And usually when you see a concrete wall you brake or swerve. In the case of this bus there was no brake mark or any attempt to swerve.
