Mass panic springs to mind. A rational approach would be to figure out why the world would end, comet maybe, and create a solution for it.

"2000 0 0 party over, oops, out of time"
It means the entertainer formerly known as Prince was off by 12 years.
But seriously now, folks, different people would do different things. Those inclined to depression would need uppers. Those inclined to hysteria would need downers. This would create a shortage in mood altering drugs. Many others would try to find a solution to avoid the end altogether. A lot of other folks would be in denial and just go on living their lives and just ignore anyone or any prophet of doom who said the world was going to end. New age folks would say it's not the end, but a new beginning. Religious folks would say it's the beginning of the glorious millenium or that it is even the end of the millenium and that's its the second death as described in Revelation. The government and military would stay busy keeping order. There would be a bunch of people who become refugees leaving the coasts that become flooded by 20 feet of sea water from global warming. The only ones with any chance of survival would be aborigines and cave dwellers who never had anyone tell them the world was going to end, and so, didn't have anything to worry about.

Well the world would be in a state of mass chaos. People would be killing enemies and gangs would be settling debts. Suicides and car thefts would be at an all time high (who doesn't want to drive a Ferrari once in their life). If it is true do everything you've ever wanted to do and then dig a falllout shelter strong enough to withstand a nuclear winter and hope to god that's how it ends.

It won't be. The reason why is someone already guessed that 2012 would be the end of the world... it won't happen when anyone thinks it will happen...
That is, if you buy the religious "end of the world" nonsense to begin with.
The human race may manage to do enough damage to our Mother Earth to bring on the end of the human race, but the world will always be here.

I don't think it would be much fun. Sure, there'd be those who would 'party hard' (like it's 2013), there'd also be those who would use it as an excuse to commit whatever criminal act took their fancy (after all, they could get away with it), those who got depressed and introverted, those who simply didn't (or wouldn't) believe, those who turned to faith, and the rest. In a word, utter chaos. Oh, yes. I left out the most dangerous group. Those with access to nukes, who believe they'd be doing us all a favour if they 'brought the deadline forward'. I'm still sticking with my assessment of Chaos.

I think people would be panicing everywhere. There would most likely be a lot of murders because of the histeria. There would be robberies, breakins, rapes, just about anything you could think of would happen. Me personaly, I would do whatever I wanted to do until I'm dead (I'd probably take a spray can and mark my terrritory on the whitehouse)

Well for one there would be a lot of panic.
two there would be a lot of love making.
three the Churches in the world would be full to the brim.
four there would be looting every where.
five people would start killing themselves and their children.
six there would be more mass panic because of the first five things.
all in all, it would not be a pretty picture,

There would be extreme chaos. People would be all over the place doing whatever they felt like doing, just because they knew that it wouldn't matter in a little while and all we would have to do was hang in there and chill.. People would be disrespecting property and other people, and saying whatever they felt and doing whatever they felt. Man that would be crazy. You think people would even quit their jobs? possible.
