The greatest match of all time in WWE is
Hulk Hogan vs André the Giant at WrestleMania III, held on March 29, 1987 at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan, an announced audience of 93,173 witnessed Hogan successfully defend the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
That match would become the most famous of Hogan's career, and is often regarded as the biggest match in the history of the business
That match lasted 12:01 minutes but I agreed with you that Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy "Macho Man" Savage was one of the greatest (but not the greatest)

I'd have to say The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan.
The match was clearly epic. The Rock; then current generation superstar, the biggest name in the wrestling industry taking on
Hulk Hogan; the greatest sports entertainer of all time, the innovator of modern wrestling and the one who took WWE to the top during the Federation years.
Both men facing off in one ring, at one venue, WrestleMania X8. That match, in my opinion, is the greatest confrontation of all time.

Flair vs Steamboat (pick one :) )
Angle vs Benoit (WM)
Angle vs Michaels (WM)
I personally prefer the Angle vs Benoit match, but if it's old-school you're more interested in, then I would say the Flair vs Steamboat matches just pip the Savage vs Steamboat.

I think it's Undertaker vs Mankind Hell in A Cell. and Stonecold vs Bret Hart, when he decided to pass out instead of tap out.
