The Classics, Frankenstein, Dracula and The Mummy. The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was cool and the original Night of the Living Dead, Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Creature From the Black Lagoon are fun. I like the Steven King stuff too when its got that goofyness like Christine, Pet Sematary and The Shining (Kubric's) have.
That one from New Zealand with all the completely wild gushing and gore were the guys town is turning into zombieland is funny too but I don't really like silly splash and gash stuff because its so predictable.

Jason, Freddy, and Micheal Myers, don't know of anything better than a cheesy horror movie that they make 6 or more sequels out of and as far as I am concerned I like the later ones in the series the better, with all of them

I love the Texas chainsaw movies and Freddy and Jason, The Scream movies were awesome and I Love When a Stranger calls both versions.

In the last few years, I've become a big fan of Asian horror movies (as has Hollywood, since they rip them off shamelessly).
'Audition', 'Premonition', 'The Eye', 'Ju-On', 'Dark Water'...all great psychological and supernatural thrillers, not the cookie-cutter slasher crap that Hollywood keeps cranking out.

I liked the old Jason, Micheal Meyers and Freddie Kruger movies. But the more sequils they made, the worse they got.

The Shining tops the list, Phantasm got me shaking in my shoes, and I do like Fright Night...although not real scary, the effects are GREAT in it!
