my boyfriend text me last night saying he and his mate were in a lap dancing club. have to say I was not impressed, I have a very seedy image (which I am sure is wrong) but why do men need to go to those places when they have a girlfriend. I talked to him this morning and he said that he does not really enjoy those places he went for his mate who had never been to one (who apparently spent £160 in there!) my boyfriend said he paid for just one dance and spent most of the night on his own drinking whilst his mate was off spending his money (his mate has a girlfriend too). are they really about entertainment or do they deserve the reputation they have. (also how far does a lap dance actually go??)

some of them are seedy little joints and some are pretty classy, believe it or not. guys get stimulated visually, we like naked girls, so put them together and you got a great night out. seeing as these places have a no touch rule, its a safe place to go for a bit of blokey fun and not have to worry about crossing the line and cheating on your missus. it's nothing to worry about, unless he starts going every weekend.

They don't go that far, but I hope you don't really believe he was off drinking while his friend was getting a lap dance. That never happens. His friend was probably telling his girlfriend the same story. Strip clubs are just a way for guys to look at other women without actually cheating. Maybe you should go one time with your boyfriend. After you check it out then either you will realize it's not that bad or you will tell him you don't want him going back.

It's harmless fun and actually a way for men to bond. It's a good way to blow off a little steam that requires no thought, is not dangerous...and really, your boyfriend has less chance of cheating on you in a lapdance bar than in a regular pub.
Oh, and when he says he doesn't enjoy it and only went because of his mate, he's lying...but only because he doesn't want you to get the wrong idea that he either really likes any of the girls, or has sex in the club...which he doesn't.

well it's the male equivalent of us girls hanging around outside a chocolate shop and drooling at the goods in the window. We're on a diet so we know we're not going to eat the stuff, but it doesn't stop us looking and wishing!
Don't worry about it, most lap dance establishments are fairly well controlled with no client-dancer touching. It's for your boyfriend to be all macho with his mates and look at the goods on offer. He knows in his heart he could NEVER get a girl like her (I fancy Brad Pitt but I'm sure he would't look twice at me!) but it's fun to pay a girl like that to dance in front of him and act like she's interested. Expensive yes, but then men are usually suckers for this kind of thing.

i ACTUALLY cant believe he told you!! id SCREW!!!! i think they probably like the fact that they can gawk all they want without being called pervs and the fact that all men want what they cant have, and they cant get the girls in tiny little thongs...
and the lap dance is quite simple. the men cant touch the women. their hands cant come into contact with any part of the body. if the lap dancer chooses to rub her butt into his lap then its her choice, but if he crosses the line then he is usually physically thrown out by bouncers and possibly sued...

you're able to purely bypass by potential of your self in case you have no acquaintances. i might experience like a loser being there by potential of myself. i became in basic terms there final weekend with some acquaintances and had a blast.

How far they go depends on the laws where they operate. Generally the woman is partially or fully nude and will allow some touching. She will touch the man who will keep his clothes on during the performance.
