I'm 30 weeks and I have gained just over a stone, my GP said that's a good weight and that really you should try not to put on more than 2 stone but every person and every pregnancy is different.

Everyone is diffrent. I will be 28 weeks tomorrow and I have gained about 25 pounds. I am hoping to gain no more than 40 pounds total. I have one friend who only gained 18 her whole pregnancy, another who gained 40, and one who gained 75. Adn they we all pretty tiny to begin with

Every pregnancy is different, I gained 40 lbs throughout my whole pregnancy and the doctor didnt say anything was wrong with that.I am pregnant now, and it seems like I am gaining earlier than with my daughter.

not sure at that stage, I refused to weigh myself through my whole pregnancy as I didn't want to face the number on the scales and I knew it was all fake weight anyway. I think the average pregnancy most women put on about 2 stone

I gained 52 pounds with twins and 26 pounds with my daughter...I dont think there is a "normal" amount. Your doctor will tell you if you are gaining too much or not enough.
Congratulations and good luck with delivery!

About 17 pounds would be the average, but everyone is different.
