Of course you can. You can even find communist behavior in constitutional republics just like we have right here in America.
Of course being a constitutional republic, we are no where near as succeptable to communist behavior as other countries that are merely "democratic"
Being a nation of laws, it yet is not difficult for socialist to use our constitutional republic system to gain footholds in the halls of power in Washington.
You will find socialist there that are both democrat and republican. Whenever you have "the people" electing officials with communistic beliefs like Hillary "I want to TAKE those profits..." Clinton and her other cronies, well you get a situation where communism is not only possible, it is a very much a reality.
Examples would be Uniform Health Care, Medicare and Medicaid, Farm Subsidies, Food Stamps, the Dept. of Education and any "entitlement" program however "justified.
Remember, freedom could be viewed as a big pie. The WHOLE pie belongs to the people. Whenever "the people" allow the political class to "cut out" a piece of that pie for their own control and exercise, "the people" have lost that part of their total freedom.
How much freedom are people willing to "give away" to the federal government for a guaranteed paycheck (however small)? Well, just open your eyes and look.
The pie is getting smaller every day!

I dont know what you refering to. But I can take the swedish example. The left party in Swedish politic is closest to communists in the past had 5.85 % of all votes in last years election. Since the politic in Sweden have right wing majority since last election the left party can only provide harsh language in the debates in the riksdag. So they sit on a democratic mandate but they dont have any real power.
