It's rare, because most women ovulate about 2 weeks after their period and sperm just can't live that long. However, I said MOST women...probably at least 75% of women ovulate at that time, but others have irregular ovulation, which could include right before or right after their period, meaning they could definitely get pregnant at that time. I sure did. So don't think any time is always "safe", because that's how you'll end up with a baby.

If you do not want to get pregnant then do not chance it. Some people believe that you cannot get pregnant while on your period but it is a myth.
I had sex on the 3rd day of my period with my husband and i became pregnant but miscarried at 5 weeks so yes you can get pregnant on your period cause i did.
