I have very fair skin which freckles everywhere. I have heard alot about tan accelerators and how they stop you burning if used correctly.

If I used an accelerator would it help my skin actually tan or just give me even more freckles?

it all depends on your skin type, some people burn very easily, however if you don’t burn easily go for it you’ll be dark brown quicker than a tanning bed.

Louise, if you have freckles, no tan accelerator will help. Like me, you'll just go red and peel, feel uncomfortable and look daggy. The way we frecklers do it is to expose ourselves for a short time every day, (no more than twenty minutes of direct sunlight) and the tan will build up. I've done this successfully for fifty years, and it works. Actually it's the only thing that works.
And another thing - there are men (of all ages) who are frantically turned on by freckles, especially when they are displayed in a nice light tan, so enjoy!

Dnt use a sunbed - use fake sun tan, there r lots of really good ones. Body shop do a brilliant 1 that lightly tans, but you can build it up until u get the shade u want. The johnson 1 is good but doesnt go as dark as the one frm body shop. If you want to use the accelerator in the natural sun it will help, but yr still better to get most of yr tan frm a bottl as the sun will damage your skin. hope this helps *

Fair skin + hot weather = burnt skin! (ouch)
I suggest you invest in some st tropez tanning mousse - best on the market and use this just before you go take it with you to top up your tan and use a good sunblock. End of the day its always best to use sun block so you dont get burnt and it reduces the chances of you getting skin cancer and looking like an old leather boot when you get older!!

If you have very fair skin, with no tan - it will burn you. You will turn red.
Your skin has to get used to being tan before something will help. The first few times you will burn.
