Because we are on the earth which is moving!

Why do parked cars seem to pass you by when you walk down a street? All motion is relative. However, you are making your observations of the relative motion of the earth and sun from the earth (and not from the sun!).

It is called relativity. Relative to the sun, the earth is the one moving. We cannot perceive the movement of the earth because we move along with it, such that relative to the earth, we are not moving at all. When you drive your car, you actually have the same velocity as your car, as people outside would observe. But with respect to your car, you are not moving at all. Let us say that as you drive your car, you spotted a parked truck. Relative to you, the truck is moving towards you, but for the driver of the stationary truck, you are the one moving towards him.

Because your frame of reference is from a fixed point on the earth.

If you were in a plane travelling east to west at 1000 miles per hour or so, the sun would appear to be fixed in the sky and the earth would appear to be moving.

as the earth turns,we move with the earth.the earth moves from west to east, and so we see the sun rise.u can do a simple experiment...u can read copernicius's helio-centric theory

torchlight as sun
globe as earth
2 frens

ask 1 fren to shine the torchlight at the globe and another fren to spin the globe

follow as the globe spins and look at the torchlight...it seems that the torchlight is moving

If you are on a train, moving - and you look out the window and see a train on the next track that is standing still - you will think that train is moving.

It depends on where you are standing - and in the case of the sun and earth, both are moving through space. Because of our rotation, we see things around us as in motion.

All depends on where you are standing.

Because the earth is so large you cannot sense the motion of the earth, so because of that our senses perceive that the sun is moving.

If you are of the size of an ant and then put on a big ball and some giant comes and rotates it on his finger near a electric bulb,
what would you feel?
You will feel that the bulb is moving and everything under you (the big ball) is still.

Simple!!

because u r moving alongwith the earth, u wud not notice the earth moving. it is similar to what u experience when in moving train. u wud be relatively stationary to the train, so instead of feeling ur train gng forward, u wud see the platform moving backwards.
