Earlier I was at an interview, and all the while the interviewer find it funny and kept giggling away. I find him so rude and totally unprofessional.. later he even mention that he doubt my ability to stay long in this career which i questioned him why and what makes him think so? He couldnt answer me, he told me was just a feeling. I even made my clear that i do have a good past employment record which he didnt even gone through reading yet. so later on, he gave me the job but still jokingly saying whether is he making the right choice. I felt offended but thought this triggered me more to prove to him wrong, where else my girlfriend said she won't even bothered to entertainment this type of people.

If u were me, what would u do? I appreciate only sensible answers and also thank you for your response.

I would have done the same thing, you gave a good argument, and won the position, congratulations !, what you did is whats called being "Tactful" and "Nice Job" BTW.
Dumb things said to me at an interview:

Who's your "Hero" ?

Q:"How come you didn't fill out how much $ you made last year" ?
A: How much $ did YOU make last year ?

Q:"I want a guy that can just jump on this machine, and just start working it with out reading the safety instructions"
A: Why is this position now open, did the last operator get "Killed" ?

Q: "What's your "Sick time use", I must warn you before you answer, that we have way's of finding out you know ?
A: Does the school often break the law by asking former employers this question, it is ILLEGAL to do that you know, is the school board aware that you are doing illegal investigations on prospective employee's ? How long has the school been breaking the law ? Can you imagine the Newspaper's getting a hold of that ?

We have the same question before but i really appreciate not to entertain them. Those people sometimes give us the right way to take more better challenge and development. But the most of all you won't be the same...or you won't become.
During interview on my third job, i found trials too, it is not the line of my duty but i have a knowledge about it. Together with those kind of people i was pursue myself to take a challege. After all, those challenge on my three months it became sweet and smile to remember. My company was promoted me. And those people look me up and i dont ever think more what they are still thinking of me.

That is the weirdest thing I ever heard. Will this guy be your superior? I feel somewhere between you and your friend. On the one hand, this person is obviously not wrapped too tight. But if it gives you motivation to do your best, that's not all bad. I would do my best to do a great job but I'd also keep my resume up to date and an eye out for a better job with sane people.

First off, go straight to HR and inform them of what transpired.
Make sure they understand your commitment as a good employee and that you felt the interviewer was unprofessional.
If they ask, tell them you would like it noted in your file that you made the complaint, so in the future if they have more issues with the person it is documented.

You have more patience than I do, I probably would of walked out of the interview while telling how unprofessional he was and I certainly would not have taken the job, he obviously has no respect for people,he would irritate me to work with someone like that.

I wouldn't stay in a job with a passive aggressive and abusive boss. However, I would feel better about the fact that he gave you the job. Unless he is purposefully trying to sabotage the business, this is evidence that he thinks you are qualified.
He sounds crazy.

well i would go ahead and start your new job but continue to look for employment as soon as you find something else take it then go to a person over the guys head and tell him...i wouldnt bother complaining right now if you plan on starting there cuz you are new they are most likely to call you a trouble maker and find a reason to get rid of you...

He's smart. He said that on purpose, he knows that a person like you will work extremely hard to prove him wrong!... He's benefiting from it! Think about it...

To prove him wrong, you will do your best at your job, which is exactly what he wanted to happen!

Take care and all the best!

just work hard and try to be a people person.

"Focusing on your limits won't help you get past them. Fake it 'til you make it."

"Letting go of grudges makes your soul feel light and free. Move away from the past."

I dont know who said this stuff so that is why there is no name! lol

I know this is going to sound rude, but just based on your grammar skills, I can see why he was laughing.

I can tell you (as someone who hires people for a living) I see a lot of resumes that look like they were written by children but submitted for professional jobs.

Usually when we get something like that, we laugh at you. I would seriously re-evaluate your resume by having a professional check it over.
