If you want to start a ban, or boycott, on the Police because they want to get paid as much as they can and encourage people to support ecological and human rights organizations then go ahead and start one. Print fliers, posters, contact the local media, national media, the ACLU, and spend all your spare time picketing the major ticket outlet in your town or the corporate offices of Best Buy who are the Corporate Sponsors of the tour and A&M Records.
Of course all that will cost money. Probably more than the ticket price. But if you feel strongly thats what you do to start a ban, or boycott.

I suggest that if you feel this way, simply do not go to the show. I am not familiar with sting's causes. I do suggest that the cause for the tour is to make money. Folks making the median wage of 24,000 a year in this nation do not have the funds to support causes or attend concerts. Sadly, most lack health insurance.

Not all of the tickets are 200, you can pay less and sit in the back. Not everyone can afford everything, so if you cant afford it you just cant go. Dont expect everything to cost less for those unfortunate enough not to be able to afford it. Be lucky they are even coming to your area, they were coming here and cancelled it. So I can afford it and I cant even go.

You don't go. They still sell out even at the high prices. This is the law of supply and demand. If The Police are selling out shows I suppose there is enough people to justify the high price. Sorry you can't afford it.

tickets for the show here run 50 - 225
its up to the band, the stones and eagles charged $300+ bucks for their up front seats, and NONE of that went to any form of charity.

i dont know how you can say "they want us to help support Amnesty International, and would like us to support the people of Africa dieing of Aids"
and
"This is a greedy band"
in the same breath, and be expected to be taken seriously.
sounds to me, like YOU are the one who is only thinking of themself
