Hi guys, thanks for the help with my car radio, i have a couple of other problems with my rover, first the air blower only works on the 3rd and 4th setting on 1 and 2 no extra air blows through on hot or cold. the oter thing is that the wipers are having some problems, they work fine on the fast and slow settings. Its the setting that goes across the window every ten seconds or so that has stopped working also the rear wiper has stopped working, they were working fine a couple of days ago fine, didnt know would it be something simple like a blown fuse of not? Thanks for any help.

the heater blower fault is a burnt out resistor .remove glove box , held in by 2 - 8mm headed bolts . you will see a white electrical connector on the left on top of heater box . this is the resistor . held in by 2 phillips srews . easy to change costs about £26 for part . as for the wipers could be 2 seperate faults . rear wiper could be loom damage . open tailgate locate rubber boot by top right hinge . release rubber boot and slide back a little to reveal wiring . you will prob find the wires have chaffed . as for the front wiper sounds like a delay relay fault . relay labbeled on passenger compartment fuse box . good luck

The blower motor speed could possibly be a burned out element in the blower motor resistor pack. In order to get different speeds for the blower motor there are resistors connected in a series. For a 4 speed blower motor there are 3 resistors. (Fourth speed doesn't have a resistor. It uses a full 12 volt current.) The lowest speed uses all three resistors, the next highest uses two the next uses one and like I said the highest doesn't use any.. So the second resistor is probably burned out.
It should be located in the plenum (air duct) and is usually close to the blower motor. (not always) and can be in either the passenger or engine compartment....Good Luck...

Sounds like a loose connection on the blower, or possibly there is a problem with the switch. With regards to the wipers, there could be a problem with the wiper control stalk/switch.

Thats all we can come up with!

does it artwork on any of the fee putting if so or if it used to and those have now stopped working then it may be the resistor %. that's oftentimes screwed into the air vent next to the fan motor, eliminate the resistor %. and function a seem to work out if any of the wires have burnt out, they appear like small springs .in the event that they have its a cheep fix as you ought to purchase replace resistors off of ebay for variety of £3.50 and you in basic terms stick to the educational that incorporate them and solder them in place. good look.

could be a fuse, try the one in the fuse box near your right knee,
or the one on the right hand side of the engine.
