Earth will still be a planet in year 3000!!
But yes, there is a huge possibility that it will be quite different from what it is today.
First, due to the emission of global warming gases, its average temperature will be higher than today's ( even if we stop their emission from today we will witness global warming for at least the next 1000 years).
Second, due to global warming a no. of glaciers will totally melt. As a result, today's coastal regions will make Yr. 3000's marine floor.
A number of species will perish, genetic mutations will give rise to new species.
Earth will be more sparsely populated, a no. of us would have migrated to Mars!! We might have a few visitors from other planetary solar systems living amongst us.
Intelligent robots will be treading the Earth's surface doing our daily chores. Everything will be highly mechanized. Humans will concentrate on things still beyond robot intelligence.(Since robots will be highly intelligent, this leaves only leisure-time pursuits for humans to do).

We are not sure even for the next 40 years.
However looking at the recent changements of global climate everyone should know that the oceans will be higher, that the temperature of the earth will be higher, and generally global weather will be completely different from today one.
This will result in complete economical disruption of current international system (see Stern's report on climate change).
Or at least a complete changement.

earth will only be part of where we will live, conservationists will stay there and preserve it, there are great chances that religious people will want to stay too as it's the origni of their dogma. Many people will choose to leav, mostly active working people to get away from what they're living everyday or people which will see a great job and way of living opportunity.
