According to the Nashville Electric Service, Gore’s 20-room, eight-bathroom, mansion devoured nearly 221,000 kWh last year. In one month alone in 2006, the Gores consumed almost 23,000 kWh. That's more than 20 times the national average.

Wow Vanilla... I cannot imagine what his bills would be if he didn't do all that! So, in essence he's buying his way out of consuming more than 20 times the national average of ulitls...? It does not work that way. It's better to stop using huge resources than to "buy" your way out of it and use all you want anyway. The above information does not even take into consideration all his other properties.

Paul, I never said anything about Global Warming, nor about Bush. I merely asked your opinion as to whether someone that is preaching about lowering everyone's energy bills, shouldn't be doing the same...? If he is not then he's a hypocrite!

Map: If Al Gore has a response, why don't YOU post a link to it here. I'd read it...

Only the blind and ignorant amoung us will follow someone that is preaching something different as to the way he lives. If he wants to preach to us to conserve, fine, but he needs to show us by example, not run up util bills more than 20 times the national average.

What a farce. Hypocritical... They should have his picture in the dictionary next to the definition.

Al Gore, the king of global warming finger pointing and the man uses more energy and contributes to the production of more toxic admissions to the atmosphere than 3/4's of all Americans. He lives in a state that primarilly uses coal for producing electricity. Which is a HUGE offender to polluting our atmosphere and he does nothing to try and combat that.

These carbon offsets is a scam. So what if he is investing to purchase these carbon offsets if he is still a gigantic energy use offender!! I would love for one person to explain to me how that justifies what he condemns everyone else for doing. What a friggin joke.

I can not believe that so many of you are blindly eating up everything he says. If it wasn't sopathetic it would be downright hilarious.

When a small mind cannot argue the science, it tends to attack a man's character. What in the world is the difference in the amount Al Gore and his family pay for their electric bill! Must neo-conservatives get ALL their ideas from the popular conservative entertainment media.

Yes.
It proves my point about those who are getting on the global warming ban wagon.
They want the rest of us change their lifestyles but not them.
How many show up at the Oscars in electric cars.

The Kennedy's didn't want a wind farm near their homes but everyone should have them.

Now it has come out about taxes that is what global warming is about tax and redistribute the wealth.

When Al Gore complains about other views being expressed.
That is just another nail in that coffin called global warming.

Al Gore needs to keep his mansion cool because he has been chowing down on Krispy-Kream donuts. He must have put on 30 lbs. eating all those free dinners and buffets. He knows how to play the people like a cheap banjo. Give them what they want a bunch of useless information to create a niche for himself with the Hollywood elite, socialist.

He lives in a very big house . I think its 20 rooms or something. Its very important to know what type of electricity he consume. If its from renewable sources sutch as air sun and water or of its sources sutch as nuclear power plants oil etc etc. Its not the size of the electric bill . Its the type of electricity you consume. Since NES provide renewable alternative of electricity it doesnt matter how mutch he consume because it will not contribute to the greenhouse effect.

Al Gore 'biologically' believes he is above anyone else and his sense of entitlement is inbred. He would like to be in a position to dictate how the rest of us live but of course none of the rules would apply to himself and the elite. People of his ilk only want our money to satisfy their own egos and fortunes. Pelosi also falls in the category.

It should tell you something when he didn't even win in his own district - those who know him best, those lives he had impacted most.

LOL!!! Of course he is a hypocrite or an idiot. (Idiot, I think.)
He introduced the new idea of "Carbon Credits". Which means that you can buy extra credit for the amount of fuel you burn.

1. To reduce "global warming", output must be maintained if not decreased.
2. Limiting the amount of "carbon credits" means it becomes a limited commodity.
3. Limited drives the price up.
4. Therefore the rich benefit the the most.

Democrat???? Think not.
