my friend is a girl who is raped by an old man,she told me the next day after it happened.so i told her lets go to the police station,but my mom found out and she scold me for going there with her.she also said that i'm selfish and that i always think of my friends first.
it is wrong to help someone who needs your help.

You just need to help the right way and that's what you did. there's absolutely nothing wrong in that. I can't explain why yuor mum behaves that way. But don't believe her, you are not selfish, see, you've been of great help. May be you've been so involved with your friends that you've not spent time with your family, I think tha't what she means. just loosen it a little and find time to be with you family. I think your mum loves you and she misses your company, that's prbably the reason why she reacted this way.
About your friend, I'm sorry about what she went through. you need to help her boost her esteem. she shouldn't look down on her self. it is not her fault that she has lost her virginity. I think a doctor can help her morally and health wise. I wish I could also help but I'm miles away.

When I read that your mother scolded you for trying to help your friend do the right thing I just shook my head. I'm really sorry that she is telling you that you are selfish....it sounds to me like a very caring thing to do. Always remember to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Unless you wouldn't want someone to accompany you through a tough time like this you did the right thing. We could all use a friend like you.

Cheif? I'm all for what Parents, say? But I can't see her view on this one. It might be the old, "Don't get invovled with things that aren't your biz", routine. Good for you to help. She ought to be glad to have you around. She'll need you, as that friend. For many years to come.

What! It's not wrong to help your friend. yOu are fighting for justice of your help. Why your mother will be angry of that. That is not a selfish act.

um no offense swettie but there iz sumthin wrong with ur mother if she think it iz selfish of u to help ur friend out who just got raped... i mean wut iz wrong with her... does she drink and smoke cuz drugs and alcohol can be the only reason to say such stupid things like that...i mean godforbid if it happens to u she would want someone to help u out if shes not there like and of course its okay to help a friend out in need....now if u dont kno now u kno 'parents just dont understand'
