There is a 1985 book called Priests of Ferris by Maurice Gee

It is part of a fantasy trilogy set in the Tolkein like world of O, and one of the main characters is Susan Ferris. Motherstone, and The Half Men of O are the other titles.

Yeah I read this when I was a kid - its amazing!

But its just called 'Priests of Ferris' by Maurice Gee.

Its about a girl and boy, Susan and Nick, I think, who find themselves in a magic world or something.

Might have to dig this one out and re-read it - can't remember sorry!
