It's a myth. They do generally take better care of what they've got. Many straight men scrub up nice too, otherwise Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, George Clooney,et al would likely never have had a career.
Besides the waste is in your dismissing anyone straight who isn't top notch. Or are looks everything?

I am not a "gay" person and I do have to say "gay" good looking men are never a "waste".....Your BEST friend may just be a "gay" person so please don't judge a book by the cover....(In most cases the cover don't last as long as that good book anyway).......have a nice day............

i'm good looking and i am bi, so your question is based on a false assumption.. and no it's not a waste... these guys will make other gay men very happy!!
bottom line, gay men are more in touch with their feminine side, and they don't let society tell them how to dress, look, or act..
most guys can get away with being slobs and jerks and most women will still date them.. kinda sad if you ask me!

what is a waste is someone with such a close-minded attitude. what a waste that you close yourself off from so many people that could be friends.
no matter what a person's sexual orientation, race, religion or culture, if they lead a happy, fulfilled life like I do, and all my gay and lesbian friends do.....then it is NOT a waste!
