It doesn't take a lot to get me angry anymore. Its quite sad, I used to lose my temper once every 2 or 3 years, now its most days. I think its probably a combination of stress (we've had a REALLy hard few years) , living in a place that is too small for me, the hubby and the kids, living in a city I hate and a side-effect of the medication I take for Narcolepsy (Speed is an awful drug).
I am trying to get over my temper problems by going to counselling, doing yoga regularly and thinking positive. It seems to be working!

Hello,
(ANS) Your basically talking about how when your personal boundaries are invaded or broken or not respected that this pushes your buttons and makes you very angry!! Welcome to the Human race!!! I think all the same things make me very angry too.
It seems to me that we now live increasingly in a society where there is less & less personal space or even public space where our own psychic space isnt broken into or invaded.
**I hate mobile phones with great intensity, because it seems that mobile phone calls take precidence over almost anything else others do. They must drop everything to answer a mobile phone call, even if the call is complete triva or utter twaddle!!.
**My bank has now started to play music inside the branch where I go, its NOT just any old music but HSBC radio, GGRRRR!!!!!!grinding of teeth. No! I DONT want to listen to F****ing HSBC tacky radio I just want peace & quiet when I go to bank.
**Etc Etc I could quote endless examples of invasion of space, Frankly not only does it make me angry but it makes me feel like I'm going slightly insane having to endure such utter psychic torture because thats what it feels like torture. Perhaps I'm just being a little bit sensitve? but it does make me feel angry and I'm confident I'm NOT alone on these issues.

There is an old cowboy proverb "You can tell the size of man by the size of the things that make him angry." When I heard this, I decided that I would try to be a Big Man (grown-up, respected, a "mensch") and not get mad at unimportant things.
Or DS_TSS "Don't sweat the small stuff"

I amazed myself. Sometimes I get angry for very little things and starts throwing massive temper. But other times, I can get soo patient its almost commendable! (except when I reached the limit and I explode at those responsible!) Maybe its a Gemini thingy. I do not know if anyone agrees with me but at times I feel patience and tolerance are seen as weakness to others and ppl start taking advantage of you.

Some things can really get my back up. Tends to be the more mundane things in life. I've already had a rant on Y!A this morning about tossers in petrol stations who queue for ages to use a pump only because it's on the same side of the car as their petrol cap. They're long hoses - they can stretch to the other side of a car you idiots!!!

i used to get angry all the time like you
all the little things would erk me
and i decided that there was no real point in that
why should i use all my energy in a negative way
so i learnt to let go
and reliase when something was important
and when something was not important to just let go

It depends on my mood and the situation. I HATE people talking in uni lectures, actually whispering is worse when you are trying to concentrate because you just pick up the s on the words. Disrespect and stupidity drive me up the wall.
