Can anybody tell me approximately how much it costs to call the USA from Australia - say if I spoke for an hour??? It would be from Queensland (east coast) to Ohio....Thanks!

My daughter buys a $10 calling card from the newsagent.
You use it with your home phone and it is so cheap.
She phones a friend in Spain weekly and they talk for HOURS.
I cannot recall the exact cost / minute but is is like 5c or something - outrageously cheap.

Hahah thats funny Im an american in australia and it costs about a buck a minute with telstra.

You should buy a calling card from safeway or coles for like 15 bucks and you can call the states and its the cost of a local call. If you wait till round 3am Aussie time you can double your minutes!

Please check the websites of the Australian telephone companies on Google or Yahoo -- and then, look for their internatl. rates and fees on their websites. I know "Telstra" in Australia...but, I don't have it's website at the moment.
