Also, the Isle of Man's Tynwald is the oldest parliament in CONTINUOUS existence having been held since 979AD without interruption.

Iceland has the oldest parliament in the world. The
Althingi founded in 930AD. Iceland does have a deep connection with Ireland as it is thought Irish monks were the first settlers and Icelandic people are of Norse and Celtic heritage.
