It is dangerous in case of food allergies. You should wait until she is about 3 years old. She might like it, I know I do, but it would be more dangerous for her to have a food allergy reaction than it would for you to.
Food allergies are a huge concern to parents everywhere. When is a baby ready to eat certain foods like nuts or sushi? Stay away from potential allergens until a child is at least three years old. This is not because of choking dangers but because younger children are more susceptible to allergic reactions.

No I would not give a 9 month old baby salmon nigiri. There could be bacteria that doesnt bother adults that will make your little one sick. The baby doesnt want raw fish just let baby wait for treats like that until he/she is older.

most will say no, but my 20 month hold has been eating it since he could chew it up and not choke. ( about 13 months or so) My husband is Korean so we eat a lot of sushi among other things and all three of my children love it. He has never had a problem and when I asked his doctor, he just said, well if he has been eating it up until now, and hasn't had any issues no reason to stop now. I was really nervous at first but as my husband pointed out, the babies in Japan and Korea seem to do just fine on it. He grew up eating it from the time he was a baby as well. Now we don't feed it to him on a regulat basis, I am talking maybe once to twice a month, and just one to two pieces, then he eats other things. I think 9 months might be a little young, just because it might choke him. I would wait until her one year birthday. Although my hubby says they ate it form 6 months on.

Depending on her age, you could give her sushi with cooked fish or no fish at all..and please don't just pull the fish out,it will leave juices and such..order it w/out it. if she is not old enough for even cooked fish then order a roll with only veggie...and make sure she has been introduced to all of the ingredients, rice, avocado, seaweed, tuna, one at a time. Leave out the wasabi..lol ..put it in a blender or grider for a second so it is safer for her to eat and maybe water it down with breastmilk or formula

I'm not going to bother giving you the answer of 'NO' as everyone else seems to have the sense to.
Do you know it really concerns me to think that if other people had said 'yes' would you have actually given it to your child?
If i was at all unsure i would contact my Health Visitor atleast then i know i am getting a 100% correct answer x

No!
1. She should still be breastfeeding if possible (until at least a year).
2. Foods should be introduced carefully and slowly to avoid allergic reactions.
3. She does not have the intestinal fortitude to handle the bacteria that might exist in raw food, it could cause diahrrea which can be fatal in infants
You could poison her, please do not feed your baby sushi.

no, its not good to feed a baby any raw foods as their stomach isnt up to strach yet.Even with fresh vegetables and fruit, things have to be clean.
I would advise waiting until the child is at least 3 years old!
Check with yoru doctor to confirm

I had to read your Q over and over, to make sure I read it right.
Under no circumstances give this child sushi!!!!
Soft foods like banana, soft cheese, pre packaged and sliced ham, yoghurts etc are ideal really.
