At this stage many of my generation would sooner Northern Ireland become an independent nation, neither part of the Republic or the United Kingdom. As for Scotland, more than likely. More and more Scots are for a seperate nation, they have the natural resources and a large enough population to be a succesful western nation. And would more than likely be designated part of the EU.

when the people in those two countrys decide they want it. there will be referendums on both those issues in the next couple of years. you didnt include england or wales though. the people in those two countrys should also be given the choice.
