Put out bowl of cider vinegar and a couple of drops of dishsoap on your kitchen counter overnight. This works best if it is under a light but can be done without. Do this for a few days and they will be gone.

If they are indeed fruit flies you can get rid of them by placing a small container of wine, or fruit juice on your kitchen counter. Cover the opening of container with plastic wrap, put a few small holes in the plastic wrap. The flies will go in to get drink and not be able to escape.

If on the other hand they are drain flies, then the problem is a little more complex. I have been battling those suckers for weeks. I have had an exterminator treat the drains with a powder, that didn't work. I have bought a liquid from a do it yourself extermination shop, that hasn't worked either. I've poured boiling water down the drains, that didn't work. I've put baking soda in the drain, that didn't work. Get the picture? My next option is to get a plumber to clean all the drains maybe that will get rid of the aggravating little devils.
I have also bombed the house twice, that didn't work either

Fruit flies are attracted by fruit or food that is rotting, so put any fruit or food in the refrigerator. Check yoúr kitchen if there's any old rotting fruit or vegetable (f.i.potatoes) somewhere in a corner or a place where it does not belong. Remove it and clean up the place.

Dont keep fruits or vegetables opened, put them to refrigerator, kitchen flies mostly get attracted by fruits, so hide from out of flies reach, then flies will vanish by itself

you probably have "fruit flies"...keep any leftover food in the fridge if you are saving it for later, do not put food scraps of any kind in an uncovered trash can
